But there are also other gifts like arts and crafts, jewelery or shortbread which are quite popular. If you do not find in any of the little shops what you are looking for, maybe you have more luck in one of the bigger shopping malls to grab a bargain.

Shoes and clothing can be cheaper compared to the prices on the continent. And don't forget that most of the stuff from here will set new trends on the continent in a couple of weeks or months. So, you can really be a trend-setter at home.

And even if you stay in a small village, you can be assured that there is a convenient store for your daily needs, and very often also a post office.
