Aviemore and Cairngorms

Aviemore is Scotland's answer to St. Moritz....there is that alpine feel to the place and when the snow comes the place is a hive of activity.

You can dine out on the top of a mountain or ski downhill after taking the ski tow to the peak. Some people find the off road cycling in this area second to none and cycle hire is available in the town. Just a mile out of the town and you are in the open spaces more akin to the postcard image of Scotland.

Cairngorms are a wild life haven and this is an area that the naturalists just love. The osprey can be seen in its natural habitat sharing the skies with the Golden Eagle as they fly over herds of reindeer. Again the area offers so much from quiet evening enjoying the sunsets to hurtling down a snow covered hill on a lump of plywood the kids call a snowboard.
